We offer a large selection of children's and adult fiction and non-fiction books, music CDs, Books-On-Tape, newspapers, periodicals, and movies.
For children & teens we have ongoing story times & activities. For adult patrons we host a variety of lectures & workshops.

Ongoing programs include:
55 Alive Driving Class, a driving program for senior citizens run by AARP, SCORE, Service Corps of Retired Executives providing free, confidential business counseling to residents Literacy Volunteers, a program to help our adult population to read and write in English.
Computers and Internet Service
The Hampton Bays Public Library offers public access to the internet, including many authoritative databases, and the following software applications: Word; Excel; Powerpoint.. Presently we have thirteen computer stations available for walk-in use with a valid Hampton Bays Library card, required for self-login. Visitors without a Hampton Bays Library card can be logged-in by a staff person at designated terminals. Users must be 18 years of age or have a completed Internet Parental Permission form on file.
We are also a wireless hot spot! This means that any patron with a laptop with wireless capabilities can surf the Internet from any table in the Reference and Reading Rooms.
Two B&W printers are available for use with the library's public computers; printing is limited to ten free printouts per sessions, and 15 cents for each additional page. Documents can be saved to the disk drive only (disks are available for purchase at the reference desk at $1.00/disk).
Community Meeting Rooms
Meeting rooms are available for public use. If you are interested in using one of our meeting rooms for your group, please ask for an application at the front desk.
